Ladies Oder of the Eastern Star was a separete division of the Masonic Lodge. They would have their own rituals and meetings. Later this changed and the organization blended. My grandparents always worn a ring with an Eastern Star.
Each point of the star has a symbol relating to a heroine from the bible. There is Adah, Ruth, Esther, Martha, and Electa. Each of these heroines have a virtue, fidelity, constancy, loyalty, faith, and love. Together the spell “F.A.T.A.L.”
