1930s Evans Cigarette Case w Lighter BIG / CLEARANCE by JujubefunnyFinds

38.00 USD

CLEARANCE Evans Gold Ribbed Metal Wallet or Vintage Cigarette case with Lighter. This unique lighter opens from the the side. The gold horizontal ribbing or stripes. It's a well made heavy case that is in very good to excellent condition, with only very faint scuffing. No dents, dings, rust or corrosion. Carry business cards and everyone will remember you. Fun place for tissue, and more. Absolutely fabulous vintage find. Extra Large size. Very collectable.
This is a circa mid 1930s Evans Banner Case Lighter in a Gold Tone finish; and it is in Very Good Condition. On the outside, the front features a strong linear design, with engine turned ribbed vertical stripes. The back of the case / lighter repeats the vertical stripe design as the front. On the inside, both compartment walls replicate what is on the outside, the holder arm spring is strong. The hinges and clasp are aligned and movement is good. I have not actually lit the lighter, so I cannot say it works. That is why the price is much lower then it should be. When I find time to get it tested I will change the price accordingly.
However, if you place cigarettes vertically in the case without the use of the holder bar, it will accommodate today's filtered cigarettes including filtered 100's. This classic Evans Banner Case Lighter would make a gorgeous addition to someone's collection of 1930s Art Deco Tobacciana, a fantastic display piece, or a stunning gift to someone special. Please visit my Tobacciana Section for additional case lighters to choose from.
The piece measures approximately 5 1/5 inches in length by 3 1/8 inches in width.
